What is your role at Teamwork Englewood?
I am a Re-Entry Job Specialist.
How many team members does Teamwork have?
We have about 50 staff members total.
How many participants do you work with on a monthly basis?
I work with a little more than 30 at a time.
What critical jobs does RiseKit help you fulfill during your day?
- Time Efficiency: The time that I would otherwise spend on chasing down my clients over the phone and finding the right jobs through Google or physically knocking on employers' doors I'm able to spend on helping other clients that have more critical barriers. This translates to more mock interviews; more attention to finding essential needs like transportation and clothing for those on the job hunt.
- Communication: My clients (especially the younger ones) are more responsive to my messages through RiseKit because of the text-to-chat feature. I'm able to quickly check in on jobs I've shared with them or progress their making in the interview process.
What’s your RiseKit process?
- During the intake process, we enter the client's information and go through a formal process before discussing their needs and qualifications.
- My next step is presenting RiseKit as the online tool that they can use to explore jobs on their own, communicate with me, and upload their resume so we can pursue the right opportunities.
- I enter their phone number or email to send them a sign-up link right then and there so I can confirm that they have received it and help them set up their profile, if needed.
- I'll send them a text via RiseKit in another 2-3 weeks to check on their progress and ask about any jobs that look good.
- If they are interested in a job, I'll sit with them, click on the resource and review it together, in case they need help in filling out the application.
